“Seeing two black women in such a prestigious position was awe-inspiring and led me to believe and be confident to apply to Miss England. I hope to use my platform in Miss England to advocate for increased representation and diversity of minority ethnic women within the beauty space, champion BAME within the STEM field, and fight for the safety and rights of women and children affected by domestic abuse.”
Miss England is a great role model to young women in England. She is keen to showcase the incredible diversity within the UK and beyond. She was motivated to follow the wins of two black women in the world’s most famous beauty pageants – Zozibini Tunzi (Miss Universe 2019) and Toni-Ann Singh (Miss World 2019).
